| I, Parasite - The Sick Are Not Healing | December 15, 2009 |
[02 Dec 2009|11:43pm] |

So it's about time we officially announce that The Sick Are Not Healing is almost complete and will be released on December 15, 2009! After years of work, and the generous donations of fans all over the world, we're proud to have this album become a reality! Thank all of you for your patience and generosity over these tough couple of years. I wish I could have gotten this to you sooner, but right now I'm just happy it's getting out into the world at all in a fashion I feel is respectful to the music!
So here's the scoop. We are in the final stages of printing the packaging. The insert is currently being printed, and we're making an appointment to print the packages on a vintage letterpress. Then we just need to assemble the packages, and get them into your hands. On the release day, the album will also be available in our Digital Store as a download (in MP3, AAC, or better yet: FLAC, Ogg Vorbis, or Apple Lossless). Also, you can now order our CDs from the digital store (which will soon be renamed to simply "Music Store") and you get the download for free instantly!
We will also have copies available (as well as shirts and posters) at our free in-store performance at Digital Ferret on December 18 in Philadelphia, PA.
I'm also really pleased to tell you that Storming The Base in Canada is now accepting pre-orders for the album here: http://www.stormingthebase.com/details.asp?ProdID=9372
A note to all who donated: We will be sending you a complimentary copy of the CD as soon as the packages are assembled. Also on December 15 will will be emailing you download codes so you can download and listen to the album while you wait for the CD to be delivered.
Thank you all again!

| Look what I did |
[06 Nov 2009|12:48pm] |

I converted the Frac modules I didn't sell to banana jacks yesterday. Somehow I killed an IC in the Binary Zone (ordering a new one today), but otherwise it went rather well. I'm following the Modcan banana jack color scheme. The Wave Folder looks particularly sharp in grey, white, and yellow.

| Selling some of my modular synth |
[30 Sep 2009|11:19pm] |
This wasn't an easy decision, but I have some needs and a plan to achieve them, so I'm selling most of my Frac system. I'm keeping a few modules that I plan on bananafying. Everything is in good condition. I've gigged with this system twice. Everything was built by the respective manufacturer.

I can knock a little more off if you buy whole Frac Rack worth of modules, or go crazy and buy the whole system.
Prices don't include shipping. I'll sell to anywhere in the world, but you pay for insurance/tracking/all that good stuff. I take paypal and/or Modcan A Series modules for payment (looking for: SixPac enclosure, VCDO, DVDO, and QuadLFO (03a – the older, analog version) to start).

| Some non-modular gear for sale |
[24 Sep 2009|03:42pm] |
I take PayPal. I'll ship anywhere on and off of the planet, but you pay shipping/tracking/insurance.
Roland JD-800 - $400 Lived in my smoke free studio. I just used it as a MIDI controller. It has two broken keys from me leaning on it one day. Otherwise works fine. Includes an M256-E memory card. See pics: http://www.flickr.com/photos/parasitk/tags/jd800/ It's rather large and heavy, so it'd probably be best for both parties if this were a local NY/NJ/PA/CT thing. SOLD!
Roland R8M - $150 Good condition. Includes manual. Bought second hand, but works great. Very cool unit, but redundant with my TD-10. Includes the hard to find SN-R8-04 Electronic card! This is currently at my rehearsal studio in NY, so no pics at the moment. I'll bring it home this weekend.
Alesis ModFX Philtre - $50 No longer made. Pretty neat. I might have the manual, but it's pretty damn easy! http://alesis.com/contentmgr/showdetails.php/id/1372/tt/5 SOLD!
Arius Blaze/ISM Spacebox 323 - make an offer Circuit bent Casio SK-1. 4x4 RCA patch bay, 4 switches, 1 knob, 1 button, 1/4" out, lots of chaotic messy sounds. Pic: http://www.flickr.com/photos/parasitk/3950707811/ Some info here: http://ismsynth.tripod.com/sightssounds.html SOLD!

So I don't overwhelm anyone here with potentially boring synth chatter, I've been keeping a blog at http://parasitk.blogspot.com/ about my DIY synth activities. I'm slowly building myself a performance suitcase synthesizer mainly for playing live with I, Parasite or The Pseudomancer. Check it out (or don't!).

| Studio is back |
[12 Jun 2009|06:41pm] |
I spent all week clearing out the room I'm staying in, and finished setting up my studio again today. It's been packed/in pieces for almost a year now.

Feels good to be back.
